Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are officially divorced after three years of separation and over a year since they first started the process to divorce. Although the exes have no signs of romantic reconciliation, Jen has been a huge influence on his recovery, which he emotionally posted about on Instagram yesterday. Court documents obtained by People reveal the two met at Jen’s house with lawyers and a private judge on Thursday, October 4, to finalize the divorce.
Ben and Jen, both 46, married in 2005 and have since had three children together. They co-parent Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Amid his rehabilitation stint, Ben and Jen have been trying their best with family activities such as a recent visit to church.
The Justice League actor was brought to rehab in August after his now ex-wife Jen staged an intervention.
In an emotional post on Instagram Ben wrote, “The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others," most likely in reference to Jen.

Despite Jen's support, Ben has his own complicated love life to deal with amid divorce. Prior to rehab, he was dating Lindsay Shookus. Shortly after they broke up, he began dating 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
Previously, Ben's affair with their nanny, Christina Ouzonian, resulted in their separation once news spread that the actor cheated on his wife.
