Friends, The Notebook and More: Celebs Tell Us Their Favorite TV and Movie Couples
Everyone has a TV or movie couple that they aspire to be like and/or just really, really love. And so do celebrities! In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we asked stars like Jax Taylor, Sarah Hyland, Shenae Grimes and more to tell us which fictional twosomes inspire them when it comes to relationships. And we got some pretty great answers, from Friends to The Notebook, Sex & The City and more. Flip through the photos below to see who picked what!
Jax Taylor
We've got a lot more in common with Vanderpump Rules's Jax Taylor than we thought. His most inspiring TV couple is a true classic...
Ross and Rachel on Friends
Jax chose the one and only Ross and Rachel! He said, "Ross and Rachel. I'm not going to lie to you, Friends is my ultimate favorite show. I know every single word. I've seen every episode 5,000 times."
Sarah Hyland Vampire Academy Premiere
Sarah Hyland from Modern Family clearly has good taste in TV. She's most inspired by...
Carrie and Aidan on Sex and the City
...Sex and The City! "I always wanted Carrie to end up with Aiden. I was an Aiden fan all the way," Sarah told us.
Shenae Grimes and Josh Beech
It made sense that we asked a real-life couple their favorite on-screen couple. Who did Shenae Grimes and her husband Josh Beech find to be the most inspiring?
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling in The Notebook
Of course, it's Allie and Noah from The Notebook! They said:
Josh: The Notebook.
Shenae: The thought of The Notebook kind of makes me hyperventilate a little bit. I’m in a emotional state after seeing that movie.
Josh: I’m the only guy that would admit that I watched that movie and I fucking love that movie. So good. It’s such a good film.
Shenae: It totally breaks your heart. I’m such a sap with movies. I’m inconsolable for at least an hour and a half.
Josh: I actually considered asking Shenae, like leaving her or getting her leaving me so I could grow a beard and then build a house and then meet again.
AJ Michalka
AJ Michalka clearly thinks along the same lines. See what she had to say about her favorite movie couple ever...
The Notebook
AJ told us, "Not necessarily that it inspires me in real life, but I think a beautiful chemistry is in The Notebook. I think that’s a perfect example of perfect casting, amazing chemistry, and a really believable film because of those two actors." Agreed.
Dom Sherwood Vampire Academy Premiere
Dom Sherwood, who plays Christian Ozera in Vampire Academy, knows a romantic couple when he sees one! Find out who he chose as his favorite...
Claire Danes and Leonardo Dicaprio Romeo and Juliet
Dom went super old school, saying his favorite fictional twosome is Romeo and Juliet. He said, "My favorite couple that’s hands down Romeo and Juliet. It doesn’t end well for them but that purity of eternal love no matter what the stakes are, that’s the epitome of a relationship." Aw, what a romantic.

Cody Simpson didn't entirely answer the question correctly, but we'll let it go because his answer was basically just perfect...
Beyonce and Jay Z at the 2014 Grammy Awards
Cody said that his favorite couple is... "Beyonce and Jay Z. (Laughs). I think that’s everyone’s to be honest. Oops, I didn’t hear the fictional part. " It's ok, Cody. Bey and Jay might as well be fictional because THAT'S HOW PERFECT THEY ARE.
Amy and Nick from Karmin
Nick and Amy from pop duo Karmin had possibly the cutest response ever to the question. Their favorite on-screen couple is...
Beauty and the Beast
Beauty and the Beast! "I'm the beauty," Nick said. Amy added, "Nah, he's just scraggly."
