It’s the biggest night in Hollywood – and the red carpet of the 2016 Oscars didn’t disappoint! But while some stars brought their A-game, others made Joan Rivers roll in her grave! Find out which fashion risks paid off and which didn't at this year’s Academy Awards!
BEST: White hot! Lady Gaga didn’t wear a gown like everyone else, as she instead wore a white Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit! The songstress’ look was complete with a skirt for an elegant touch.
WORST: Sofia Vergara’s navy blue Marchesa gown completely hid her bombshell body with unflattering ruffles along the waistline.
WACKIEST: Heidi Klum covered up her signature curves in an unflattering Marchesa gown! Not even sideboob could save the look, as the pink and purple tulle completely swallowed up the model.
BEST: Margot Robbie glowed on the red carpet – and it wasn’t only because of the sequins! The actress looked like Oscar gold in a chic Diane Von Furstenberg gown.
WORST: Although Rooney Mara looked gorgeous in a lace Givenchy gown with an original diamond cutout, the Carol star wore a very similar piece to the 2016 Golden Globes.
WACKIEST: Elsa Cate Blanchett's seafoam green Armani dress with floral embellishments throughout was more appropriate for an enchanted forest than the Oscars!
BEST: Chrissy Teigen knows how to dress her baby bump! John Legend’s wife left little to the imagination in a Marchesa gown with nude tulle and floral embellishments throughout. The pregnant star topped off the super sexy look with a chic braid and, of course, her hubby on her arm!

WORST: From the dated hairstyle to the knockoff Belle dress by Louis Vuitton, Best Supporting Actress winner Alicia Vikander didn’t dress to impress!
WACKIEST: The bodice and skirt of Kerry Washington’s Versace gown looks like they belong to two different dresses!
BEST: Sexy and chic! Rachel McAdams heated up the red carpet in a risqué green dress that featured a thigh-high slit!
WORST: Although Olivia Wilde took the plunge in a cleavage-baring Valentino gown, the fashion risk didn’t pay off when it came to the dress’s awkward neckline!
WACKIEST: Naomi Watts doesn’t need all of the glitz and glam of her Armani dress to rule a red carpet! The multi-colored sequin dress was too busy for the gorgeous actress.
BEST: Sophie Turner channeled her inner Jessica Rabbit with a sleek silver gown! The chic piece features a thigh high slit that put her long legs on full display!
WORST: Jennifer Lawrence never disappoints in Dior – until now! The Joy actress underwhelmed in a gothic gown that was too racy for the award show!
WACKIEST: From the odd print to the awkward silhouette, Amy Pohler’s over-sized Andrew Gn gown was a miss!
