Beyoncé Gets A Surprise Visit From Former Destiny’s Child Band Mate LeToya Luckett

Beyoncé was back in familiar ground on Wednesday when her “On the Run II” concert tour stopped in her home state of Texas. And guess who paid her a surprise visit? Former Destiny’s Child group mate LeToya Luckett! Read on for the latest.
It’s been nearly 20 years since LeToya was a member of the famous group. Her abrupt departure in 1999 resulted after she demanded her own representation due to feelings of being ostracized by the group’s manager—and Beyonce’s dad—Matthew Knowles.
She and fellow group member at the time, LaTavia Roberson, then both decided to sue the band (Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland) and Matthew after they were ousted from the videos for the group’s smash single “Say My Name.” Though they both settled their cases since then, rumors about bad blood between the two pairs of women followed them throughout the years.
But apparently all of that has since subsided because LeToya was all smiles when she visited Bey after her and Jay Z’s concert Wednesday night. She even shared a cute pic of the two hugging it out backstage with Beyoncé’s hand on LeToya’s pregnant belly. The caption simply read, “Love.”

LeToya was even one of Bey’s biggest fans at the concert, sharing a video of the singer performing a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which she told her fans was her and hubby Tommicus Walker’s wedding song.
While their momentary reunion may have merely been two old friends catching up, it was enough to get fans speculating online about a possible reunion with all original members of Destiny’s Child. “Destiny Child reunion tour lets gooooo! We aren’t getting any younger. Needs to happen within the next 10 yrs at least. I’m the same age as y’all. Let’s not wait til we 50,” one person wrote.
