Billie Lourd remembered her mom Carrie Fisher this past Mother’s Day with a touching post on Instagram.
On Sunday, the Scream Queens actress posted a photo of her sitting on her mom’s lap and captioned it, “This one goes out to anyone having a less than perfect Mother’s Day today. We are not alone. Sending all my love and strength to anyone who needs it.”
Billie lost her mom in December 2016, when Carrie went into cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. A day later, Carrie’s mom and Billie’s grandmother Debbie Reynolds also passed away.
Billie regularly pays tribute to Carrie and Debbie on Instagram. In December, the actress even traveled to Norway with her dad Bryan Lourd to see her mom’s favorite phenomenon, the Northern lights.

“My momby had an otherworldly obsession with the northern lights, but I never got to see them with her. We journeyed to northern Norway to 'see if we might see the heavens lift up her dark skirts and flash her dazzling privates across our unworthy irises.’ And she did. I love you times infinity,” Billie wrote alongside a photo of her standing in the snow as the lights shone above her.
Before Carrie’s death, both she and Billie were able to work together in Carrie's last film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
