Bishop T.D. Jakes and his wife, Serita, are celebrating a significant marriage milestone. On Wednesday, May 29, the religious leader took to Instagram and penned a touching message to his spouse in honor of their 37th anniversary.
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord,” T.D., 61, wrote under a picture of he and Serita embracing.
"@SeritaJakes, you are my good thing!” he continued. “I am grateful that God blessed me so immensely when He gave me you!”
“May our love grow stronger and burn brighter to the end of time,” the Potter’s House church founder finished. “Happy 37th Anniversary!”

In the comments section, Serita, 63, sent her husband a sweet message of her own. “When you took me to wed, you placed my heart inside yours and forged ahead for better, for worst, in sickness, in health, for richer, for poorer ~ and never let go of my hand,” she wrote.
“I love you because you kept your vow even when it was not easy; but what is a man but his word made flesh,” she finished.
Serita and T.D. tied knot in 1982 and the couple share five children.
