Brittany Aldean posted emotional tributes on Instagram for her late grandmother and her dog on the one-year anniversary since they died. Jason’s wife opened up about the heartbreaking day on August 4.
“So, last August 4th my dog passed away, and exactly one hour later I lost my grandma. (Which if you know me you know how much I loved both of them),” Brittany, 31, revealed.
“She was my person! The only one who I’d let hold me when I was little and the sweetest, most fun lady I’d ever met," she said of her grandmother.
“I went to visit her a few months before she died and I decided to record our conversation,” she continued. “I asked her question upon question. When did you get married? What was your first job? What advice do you have for me? And maaannnn... I’m so thankful I chose to do that. I have peace in knowing you are having such a blast in heaven-the life of the party, no doubt! Miss and love you beyond words....”

Brittany penned an equally emotional post about her dog. “You were the sun, the moon and all the stars. You were my first child, my first love, my first responsibility in life. I believe everyone has that one dog in life ya know? You were mine,” the mom-of-two wrote.
She told her fans, “You were perfection in my eyes, even with those crooked teeth and that earth shaking snore. I think about you every. Single. Day”
Jason and Brittany have yet to settle in their new home, but she revealed she already has plans on how she’ll honor her late dog in the space. “Can’t wait till we move into our new house so I can create ‘your spot’. The place I plant a tree for you, put your ashes and stone, the place I can just hang out with you again. I’ll love you forever and ever my angel boy. Can’t believe it’s been a year,” she ended the post.
The American Idol alum, unfortunately, wasn’t able to be with Jason, 42, during her tough day. The country music star was performing at Watershed Festival in George, Washington.
