The InStyle Awards honored celebrity stylists and makeup artists behind the looks of stars such as Ellen Pompeo, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Amber Valletta, and Busy Philipps. Busy was especially excited to present an award to her stylist Karla Welch.
The two posed outside of the venue after the awards ceremony. Karla wore a floor-length animal print dress with long sleeves and a heart-shaped neckline. Busy opted for a white-, black-, and yellow-paneled floral dress and a tan jacket with white and yellow details.
The stylist spoke after receiving the Voice of Style Award from Busy. On Instagram she wrote, “Well, if being part of a movement that gives a f**k and speaks up about it is what I’m known for.... I’ll take it!”
Besides the honor of presenting the award, Busy had a fierce photo opportunity with Ellen and Tracee Ellis Ross. Tracee wore a floral gown with huge feather sleeves and a feather neckline, and appeared to be wearing comfortable flats.
Ellen showed off her blue leather jumpsuit with a metallic finish. The actress had a single sleeve, and on the other side she showed some skin.
Other stars like Rosie took advantage of the InStyle backdrop. The model wore a creative see-through, chain-link jumpsuit. The jumpsuit also featured western-style frills.
Amber also went with a silver chain-link design with a see-through top which revealed her bra. The actress wore a huge black bow scarf, black high-waisted pants and flashy gold boots.
