Busy Philipps' new memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little, due out on the shelves on October 16, reveals some candid and unfiltered stories about her life as a mother, wife, actress and even as an awkward teen. But one story has readers buzzing. Keep reading to see all about it.
The 39-year-old alleged that her former Freaks & Geeks co-star, James Franco assaulted her on the set of their short-lived NBC sitcom.
The two played high school lovers Kim Kelly and Daniel Desario on the series which ran from 1999-2000 and launched then-unknown comedians like Seth Rogen and Jason Segel into the Hollywood stratosphere.
Busy wrote in her book that James was a “f***ing bully” on set. According to RadarOnline.com, he shoved her onto the ground in a fit of rage during a scene where she was directed to gently hit him in the chest.

But the Spider-Man actor broke character and came at her. “He grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, ‘DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!’ And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me,” the Cougar Town star stated.
The mother of two sobbed to her friend and co-star on the show, Linda Cardellini who wanted her to tell her manager about the incident. James apparently apologized for what happened after the director and several producers told him to but he was never properly punished for his actions.
