Cardi B Slams Jermaine Dupri After He Takes A Dig At ‘Strippers Rapping’
Cardi B isn't holding back. She slammed Jermaine Dupri for his comments he made regarding female rappers and their place in the music industry.
In a recent interview with People, Jermaine, 46, shared his opinion on female rappers like Cardi as well as Nicki Minaj and Meghan Thee Stallion.
“I can’t really say. I feel they’re all rapping about the same thing. I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. For me, it’s like strippers rapping and as far as rap goes I’m not getting who’s the best," the record producer said.
The 26-year-old made sure her voice was heard when she went on an explosive rant on Instagram.
“Okay guys I have seen a lot of people saying nowadays female rappers only talk about their p**sy and now that Jermaine Dupri brought it up I’m going to say something," the Bronx native began.

“First of all, I rap about my p**sy because she’s my best friend and second of all it’s because it seems like that’s what people want to hear,” the former stripper continued.
Cardi added that when she released her single "Be Careful," people were "talking mad sh*t in the beginning." The song alluded to Cardi's experiences with getting her heart broken. “Like, ‘What the f—k is this? This is not what I was expecting, I expected this. I expected that.’ So it’s like, if that’s what people ain’t trying to hear, then all right, then I’m going to start rapping about my p**sy again," she explained.
The "I Like It" singer also said that there are many female rappers who don’t get dirty with their music.
She said, “And y’all don’t be supporting them,” she said. “Y’all don’t be supporting them, and they be mad dope. These bloggers don’t support them. They don’t give them the recognition. So don’t blame that sh*t on us when y’all not the ones that’s supporting them.”
