Carrie Underwood's Husband Mike Fisher Just Became An American Citizen!
Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher took to Instagram on Friday, March 22, to reveal some very exciting news — he's officially a United States citizen! Scroll through for all the details.
Mike, 38, who has been married to Carrie, 36, since July 2010, was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
On Friday, the retired hockey player posted a photo of himself holding an American flag at a court house on his Instagram story with the caption, "Big day, I'm officially American."
Mike was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the second round, 44th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry draft and played with them for 12 seasons before getting traded to the Nashville Predators. He played for the Tennessee hockey team for eight years and retired in May 2018.

While Carrie has yet to publicly congratulate her husband on his new citizenship, she has always been super supportive of his nationality!
