Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell made the decision years ago to place their first daughter, Carly, for adoption. Since then, Teen Mom OG fans have watched the couple's story over the years which included all of the ups and downs when it comes to maintaining a relationship with the now 9-year-old. On Monday's episode Cate and Tyler were left confused and concerned after Carly's adopted parents, Brandon and Teresa, told the couple that she was going through some things at the moment so planning a visit wouldn't be ideal.

"Regardless of anyone’s opinions, Brandon & Teresa are Carly’s parents & if they decide not having a visit is what’s best for her right now, then we have to trust the parental decisions that we gave them the rights to make in the first place," he tweeted.

Adding, "It’s not always easy, but necessary!"

On Monday night's emotional episode, the couple celebrated their daughter's 9th birthday with a cake and even sang for her.
