Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell are taking time apart! The longtime Teen Mom OG couple decided to live in different places after experiencing issues in their marriage for a few months. After a few bumps in the road and some time alone, the reality star dad opened up about how they are doing.

“It’s funny because we actually don’t even call it separation anymore. We say, ‘Let’s just do 30 days of self-reflection time. You get to focus on you, I get to focus on me. We’ll continue to do couples’ therapy,’” Tyler explained on Us Weekly's podcast, “Watch With Us.”
The MTV dad revealed that the two have a "great therapist" that has been working with them through this period. He explained, "We’re kind of following her advice on top of the separation, whatever you wanna call it. We call it 30 days of self-reflection – just positive terminology here.”

Even though the two are taking time as individuals, that doesn't mean it's end for the middle school sweethearts! “When you say ‘separation,’ everyone’s like, ‘Oh my god, a separation?” It’s not like we’re seeing other people or we’re not talking at all or not spending time with each other. I’ve been here at the house fixing stuff up while she and Nova have been here. Honestly we’re taking our space when we need it," he said.
As for their 3-year-old daughter, Nova, she is taking is "well!" He explained, "She’s been really great with everything.”
The fan favorite MTV couple are expecting their third baby girl together in early 2019. They welcomed Carly on 16 & Pregnant back in 2009 and placed her for adoption. They welcomed Nova in early 2015.
