Céline Dion's Husband René Angélil Dies After Battle With Cancer

Céline Dion’s husband René Angélil died after a battle with cancer on Jan. 14. He was 73.
In a statement, the singer’s husband suffered from throat cancer for more than 15 years.

"Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer," the statement said. "The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment.”
Angélil was 47-year-old Dion’s manager and mentor and they have three children together–René-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.
René is also survived by children from a previous relationship, Anne-Marie, Patrick and Jean-Pierre.
