Although it's been almost a decade since the highly publicized crime that rocked Tinsletown, sources tell Look magazine that Ri's pals are worried sick over the 29-year-old's decision to reconnect. Rumors of a reconciliation began to brew after Brown recently started to refollow RiRi again on Instagram. "Rihanna is in touch with him but she also knows he's in a bad circle right now she can't afford to be around any controversies while she's getting her acting career off the ground," a source tells the outlet.
An insider continues to dish, "her friends say she's keeping him at arms length."
"Rihanna is very wary it's a new era for her," a pal says, further adding, "she wants to draw a line under her past so she's very much keeping it as friends."

The singer admitted in a 2012 interview that she was back in touch with CB.
"We've been working on our friendship and we are very close. We love each other and we probably always will," she said. "It's not something you can just shut off if you've ever been in love. It's awkward because I still love him. I have to maintain a poker face. He was the love of my life."
