As Bachelor Nation waits with bated breath to find out if it’s over between Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff, their families are opening up about the couple’s reportedly rocky relationship – and it isn’t looking good.
Chris’ grandmother Beverly Soules admitted to RadarOnline.com that she’s never met Whitney – even though she only lives 20 minutes from Chris’ farm! “I’ve only seen her on TV,” she told the website.
While Beverly didn’t have much to say about Whitney, she couldn’t help but gush about his Dancing With the Stars partner Witney Carson! “The girl teaching him to dance is really something, too. She is talented,” she said. “I think he’s done really well given that he’s had no dance experience before. He has quite improved over the weeks.”
As for Whitney’s family, her stepfather’s wife Marsha Mudd defended their relationship. “We watched her win his heart,” she said. “It was all over the media so you kind of know what’s coming. We wish Whitney all the best. We’ll see what comes down the plate.”

Whitney sparked breakup rumors when she confirmed in an Instagram post that she returned to her job as a fertility nurse in Chicago. The move back to Chicago comes after she switched positions to a role where she could work remotely so she could start a life with Chris in Arlington, Iowa.

But soon after the engagement, Chris flew to Los Angeles to compete in Dancing With the Stars. He too hinted at trouble in paradise when he told Glamour of his fiancée’s absence during Monday night’s performance, “She actually went back to Chicago this weekend. I’m not even existent to her, and she’s missing friends and home, so she’s going to take some time back there, and I’m sure she’ll be back in the next couple weeks hopefully if I’m still here.”
