Christina Aguilera Shares Emotional Post About The 20th Anniversary Of 'Genie In A Bottle' Being Released

Christina Aguilera celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut single 'Genie in a Bottle' being released with an emotional post she penned on Instagram Saturday, June 22.
Christina, 38, included a the cover shot from her self-titled debut album on the Instagram share.
"Hi lovies! Today marks 20 years since #GenieInABottle was released… got me feeling all types of emotional!" she wrote.
"At just 18 years old, I remember coming home from Japan and seeing that it had reached #1 on the Billboard charts and feeling so grateful and happy that you guys loved it as much as I did. Thank you thank you thank you for riding with me all these years. My fighters, I love you!"

"Genie" spent five consecutive weeks at number one on The Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1999.
The song, along with her other singles like "I Turn To You" and "What a Girl Wants" helped her debut album sell fourteen million copies worldwide.
She won Best New Artist at the 2000 Grammy Awards one year later.
