Christina Anstead left the hospital in a wheelchair and headed home with newborn son Hudson on Monday, September 9. The Flip or Flop star gave birth to the baby boy via C-section on Friday, September 6 at Hoag Health Center in Newport Beach, California.
Christina, 36, donned grey sweatpants, a navy blue sweatshirt and big sunglasses as she was wheeled out the doors by a hospital staff member with her infant in her arms. Husband Ant Anstead, 40, dutifully pulled around their SUV to the front entrance to make things easier for his wife.
The home designer shared the special moment with her fans and thanked the hospital staff for their excellent care. "Time to go home. We had the most amazing hospital experience … doctors, nurses, entire staff — all incredible," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. She also posted a photo of Hudson snoozing while tightly secured in his car seat.
Christina documented her pregnancy on social media and wasted no time announcing the arrival of her son following his birth. "Ant and I are so excited to welcome Hudson London Anstead into the world. Our hearts are SO full of love and joy! Our healthy baby boy was born this morning — 9/6/19 — 7 lbs 7 oz 19.5 inches long," she captioned a photo of herself holding her newest addition.

Christina shares daughter Taylor Reese, 8, and son Brayden James, 4, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Ant has two children from a previous relationship, so they are now officially a blended family of seven. This is the first child for the couple, who wed in an intimate ceremony in December 2018.
Just a week before her operation, Christina explained why she elected to have a C-section over a vaginal birth.
"One week until my scheduled C-section. I chose to do this because I had an emergency C-section with Brayden and the whole experience and recovery was really hard on me physically and emotionally. I really don’t feel comfortable trying to go down that route again. Bray was 8lbs 13oz — after pushing for hours and hours — he was just stuck and his heart rate was dropping. Based on ultrasound measurements we think this is going to be another big boy so this is the direction we’ve decided to take," she told her 1.1 million followers.
