Ciara used her recent heartbreak to make one fiery return to music after a lengthy hiatus.
Following the birth of her son, Future Zahir Jr., in May and a quiet split with her fiancé, Future, just a few months later, Ciara hit the studio to start working on her first album in two years.
We finally got a chance to hear what the beauty has been working on when she released her new track, "I Bet," on Wednesday. And the smooth breakup song appears to shine a little light on what went wrong in her and Future’s relationship.

Singing about a guy who took her for granted –– we wonder who that could be! –– Ciara calls out the fella and his fickle ways. “I bet you start loving me as soon as I start loving someone else,” she says in the track.
She adds, “You know that it hurts your pride. But you thought the grass was greener on the other side.”

Ciara and Future called it quits last summer amid rumors that the rapper cheated on the singer. CiCi has remained mum on the exact reason for the split. But her new song just may be her attempt to offer some deets about the failed relationship.
