Ciara Reveals She Battles Against Negative Self-Talk
Ciara may be an all around mother of two, a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and dancer, but she's had some ups and downs too. When it comes to her mental health, the R&B star has dealt with negative self-talk.
Ciara, 33, made an appearance at Beautycon Festival LA on August 11, where she opened up about her mental health.
The "Goodies" songstress revealed how she silences negative self-talk.
"You know, I got to stay committed to what I’m trying to... I think it’s knowing that the gift is in you and sometimes your mind creates this negative thought," the Texas native said at the event.

She added, "You forget that, 'Hey, the gift is in me, what’s for me is going to be for me, and I’ve got to stay focused on that.' And I think it is natural to doubt yourself, that’s just the way life goes."
The model also spoke about "staying committed" to your life goals.
"You’ve got to stay committed to your vision. I feel like if I don’t use my gifts, then I’m abusing them and I’m not using what God has given me, and so I stay committed to the gifts that I have," she said.
