Country Music Singer Abby Nicole Dies In Tragic UTV Crash

Country music singer Abby Nicole tragically died on Sunday morning after getting in a UTV crash in Deshler, Nebraska. The up-and-coming country star, whose legal name was Abby Uecker, had spent Friday and Saturday nights performing at the Thayer County Fair with her band, Abby Nicole and County Road. According to the Norfolk Daily News, Abby was not driving the utility transport vehicle at the time of the crash, which occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 23. According to Abby’s website, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December 2014, which could have affected her speech and memory. After successfully undergoing surgery, she returned to music in February 2015.
Thayer County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding Abby’s accident at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Norfolk Daily News reported. Abby was then taken to Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, Nebraska, where she later died at 5:30 a.m. The situation is still under investigation.
In an interview with News Channel Nebraska, Abby said she was planning a move to Nashville to pursue her country music dreams. “You just have got to dive on in, and that’s what I’m going to do,” she said.

Abby’s bandmate Chad Barnhill wrote on Facebook, “I promise to celebrate your Life with others. You touched so many lives. Especially mine.”
Another fan tweeted, “Such a beautiful soul has passed away.”
“Rip Abby Nicole,” wrote another fan. “A beautiful angel is now above us.”
