Inside Demi Lovato's Sober New Year's Eve

Demi Lovato decided to keep her New Year's Eve celebration low-key after a tough year filled with ups and downs. Scroll through to read about how she rang in 2019.
Unlike most celebrities, Demi spent her Monday night at home with a glass of Martinelli's sparkling apple cider.
As OK! readers know, the Camp Rock star suffered an apparent heroin overdose in July 2018 and shortly after checked into rehab for 90 days.
The 26-year-old, who has been working on her recovery since getting out of treatment, took to Instagram on New Year's Eve to share a photo of her non-alcoholic cider with the caption, "#sobriety."
The photo came just hours after Demi shared how grateful she was for her second chance in 2019. "So grateful for the lesson I've learned this year. I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones," she said. "Thankful for my fans, friends, family and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless."
As the "Skyscraper" singer shared on Twitter last month, she's not quite ready to tell her story yet. Although, when the times comes, she assured everyone that she will be the one to share it.

"Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up s**t that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal," she explained.
"I don’t owe anyone anything so I’m not going to set the record straight. All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support," Demi added.
"I’m so blessed I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready. I’m so grateful, truly," she expressed.
Demi has seemingly been doing very well. The Disney Channel alum has been "casually dating" Henry Levy, a source recently told ET. The same insider revealed that the two met years ago in rehab and that he's been a huge support for Demi as she focuses on her recovery.
