She's struggled before with substance abuse and eating disorders and just celebrated a milestone of three years sober, but insiders say that Demi Lovato may now be addicted to something else— working out!

The 22-year-old pop star has been sharing tons of selfies on Instagram showing off her newly svelte bod, but sources told OK! that she's taking her workouts to an extreme. "She’s convinced herself that she’s just being healthy by spending so much time at the gym, but she’s really putting a strain on her body," the source says.

It's understandable that Demi wants to show off her hard work since she's clearly lost a ton of weight over the past few months, but friends are worried for her health!

“Demi does keep a healthy diet these days, but she freaks out if she misses a workout,” an insider tells the mag.

However, like her healthy diet, Demi also likes to keep up a healthy body image for herself and her young fans. She's shared a few photos of herself in her bikini recently and has taken a strong stance against the idea of a "thigh gap."
