Move over, Jay Gatsby! The New York Rangers dressed to the nines for their 1920’s-themed casino night to gamble alongside fans and help raise awareness for the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Derek Stepan and Chris Kreider exclusively spoke with OK! Magazine.com about the fun-filled evening!

“We’re lucky the team sets up a lot of really cool events throughout the year for the community and Garden of Dreams,” Kreider told OK!. “This is definitely a big night. A lot of people come out and raise a lot of money and a ton of awareness.”

Stepan added how the evening is a great opportunity to “mingle with fans and give back.” “You get to dress up and have a great time playing casino games,” the NHL star said.

The highlight of the evening was when Moshe Illouz from the Garden of Dreams Foundation took the stage alongside the team. Illouz, who was dressed by John Varvatos, was signed to a 5-day contract with the team as part of Make a Wish.

But Illouz wasn’t the only one who stunned in a John Varvatos suit, as Kreider, Michael Grabner and Kevin Hayes were also dressed by the designer.

Captain Ryan McDonagh didn’t disappoint either, as he had everyone swooning in a Ralph Lauren suit.

But the players didn’t forget about the most important game, as Kreider revealed the team’s secret to winning the cup. “Win,” he said. “That’s the only thing we can do. We have a very competitive division so we just have to win!”
