Despite animals rights organizations demanding an apology, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard of 19 Kids And Counting brushed off the chatter involving Derick and his animal cruelty scandal for a dinner date.
The parents-to-be were all smiles while out on a date on Tuesday after a video of Derick and the Duggar family laughing as he ran over a cat with a snow sled hit the Internet.
In a statement to OKMagazine.com, PETA's Christian outreach division called out Derick for possibly causing harm to the cat, adding he “has a few things to learn about how Christians should treat God's creations.”
The organization is demanding an apology from Derick for “purposely sledding directly into an unsuspecting cat,” as well as the family’s reaction which was “almost more disturbing than his enjoyment in it.”

In a video posted to the 19 Kids star’s Instagram on March 1, his brother-in-law Ben Seewald is seen pushing Derick down a snowy hill on a sled. However, an orange cat was at the end of the sled’s path.
Though he yelled for the feline to move, Derick intentionally ran into the cat and laughed about the incident. The cat did not immediately appear to be harmed.
