Don't Feel Bad! 15 Celebs Who Messed Up Their Taxes
It's tax day! All over the country, people have spent the last few weeks scrambling to get their paperwork together—and that includes celebrities.
OK! News: Lindsay Lohan Is Sentenced to 90 Day in a Lockdown Rehab Facility.
While they may have heftier paychecks than the rest of us, it turns out more money means more problems for these stars. Some of these A-listers were deliberately sketchy with their finances, though others had sketchy people managing their money. Either way, know that April 15 is not a fun day for anyone. Except perhaps accountants.
1. Lindsay Lohan
Taxes may seem like the least of Lindsay's worries, but a lack of work leads to a lack of finances and here we are. The IRS just hit her up in February 2013 for not paying her 2011 taxes. This is not her first time—the same thing happened with her '10 and '09 returns.
2. Nicolas Cage
It's so annoying when you actually owe the government come Tax Day. Just ask this guy! He recently paid off $6,000,000 in back taxes. That's six zeros there.
3. R. Kelly
Another guy with around $6,000,000 to pay off: hip-hop legend R. Kelly hasn't handled his taxes properly since at least 2005.
4. Lindsey Vonn
Olympic champion skiier (and Tiger Woods' new girlfriend) recently paid off $1.7 million in back taxes, saying, "This is an important lesson for me. Not being in control of my finances and relying on someone else who you believed had your best interest at heart was a mistake and one I will not make twice."
5. Lil Kim
Denial just works for some people: Kim owes back taxes from 2002-2009. Whew!
6. Richard Hatch
The dark side of those giant reality-TV show grand prizes? Not knowing how to handle your new dollars. The first winner of Survivor served a whopping five years in prison for tax evasion.
7. Derek Jeter
Baseball's golden boy got in deep trouble for claiming his main residency as Florida and not paying New York state taxes. Man, you know we can see your New York Yankees cap, right?

9. Lil Wayne
Free Weezy! Wayne recently paid off nearly $8 million in back taxes, allowing the IRS to release the three liens they had against his house in Miami.
10. Martin Scorsese
Not you too, Marty! The acclaimed director has had tax issues since 2002, and recently fired his money manager (good idea!).
11. Christie Brinkley
Christie blamed a 2011 lien on an error that led to $500,000 in back taxes. Some error!
12. Aaron Carter
The perils of being a child star! Aaron learned at age 21 that his money had been mismanaged while he was still a minor, leading to over a million in back taxes owed.
13. Lauryn Hill
She dropped out of mainstream society over a decade ago—and that includes paying her taxes. She is still waiting to hear about jail time after pleading guilty to tax evasion in 2012.
14. Wesley Snipes
Wesley is the celebrity whose picture should be shown in tax preparation classes. He was recently released from a three-year stint in prison for counts of willful failure to file tax returns.
15. Timothy Geithner
Yes, even the Secretary of the Treasury has had a hard time filing his taxes! During his confirmation hearing, it was revealed that Tim had not paid taxes off self-employment compensation from 2001-2004. Whoops!
