17-year-old Drake once recorded a documentary. In it, he read a fan letter aloud, “He feels that I can complete the trifecta of the greatest African-American actors of all time.” He then directly addressed his fan, “If it happens, you called it.” It’s all in perspective, but the rapper has seemingly retired from acting to fully focus on his music.
In 2005 Drake, at the time still going by Aubrey, posed on the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards and wore a baby blue sweater over a button-down, oversized blue jeans and brown loafers. His style back then drastically differs from his cool guy persona now.
Here he is in 2010 posing with fellow Canadian artist, Justin Bieber. The two have since evolved their looks and music.

The rapper first gained recognition after his 2010 album Thank Me Later and his 2011 album Take Care. He then began to sport a clean-cut image on the red carpet.
Drake’s chart-topping hits took a slight dip until his 2016 album Views and his stardom exploded with his album Scorpion, which included the hits, “In My Feelings,” “God’s Plan,” and “I’m Upset.”
Earlier this year, Drake released the music video to “I’m Upset,” which was Degrassi-themed and included his former cast mates. The tribute was widely praised by his initial fans as the rapper's fame came full circle.
The “Started From The Bottom” rapper recently set a new record on Monday for having the highest number of Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 songs in a single calendar year, surpassing The Beatles record of 11 in 1964. Talk about a happy birthday!
