Less than a day after he was bombarded with backlash following his Game of Thrones appearance, Ed Sheeran has disabled his Twitter account.
The singer made a cameo in the Season 7 premiere of the HBO hit on Sunday, and a lot of fans weren't happy.
"Nothing takes me out of a fantasy world like a random Ed Sheeran appearance," someone tweeted.
While a few people came to Sheeran's defense, the negative responses were overwhelming.
Earlier this month, the pop star told The Sun that he's “come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it." He explained that when he goes on, "there’s nothing but people saying mean things. One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I’ve come off it."

While he wasn't engaging on Twitter, he didn't disable his account until today. “The head-f--k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much," he told The Sun.
It looks like the GoT haters were too much, prompting Sheeran to take himself off Twitter permanently.
