Elin Nordegren's ex-boyfriend Chris Cline died in helicopter crash in the Bahamas on Thursday, July 4. The coal tycoon passed away at the age of 60 one day before his July 5 birthday.
West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced the devastating death on Twitter. “Today we lost a WV superstar and I lost a very close friend,” Jim tweeted.
He continued, “Our families go back to the beginning of the Cline empire – Pioneer Fuel. Chris Cline built an empire and on every occasion was always there to give. What a wonderful, loving and giving man.”
According to reports, seven passengers on the aircraft were confirmed dead.

Elin, 39, dated the billionaire after her divorce from Tiger Woods was finalized in 2010.
In 2016, Elin was spotted showing PDA with the Chris on a ski trip in Switzerland.
The pair had a tumultuous had an on-again, off-again relationship over the years. The two broke up because they both had hectic schedules.
The Swedish model is currently pregnant with her third child. The father is former NFL player Jordan Cameron.
