In Spanish, the meaning of the name is “emerald,” and in Victor Hugo’s novel, which was adapted in a film, Esmeralda is noted for her beauty. We are sure Eva’s daughter already is as well with her enviable genes!
As for Esmeralda’s middle name, “Amada,” Eva used her family as inspiration. “Amada was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish,” she revealed last year. How cute!
