What’s in a name? A lot, apparently, especially when you’re a Duggar fan. When fans learned Jinger Duggar had given her daughter Felicity a nickname, they were less than pleased with the new moniker!

Jinger posted two sweet pics of her daughter meeting her uncles James and Jed. While the pics were pretty darn adorable, fans were distracted by Jinger’s caption.
She wrote, “Uncle James & Uncle Jed meeting Lissy for the first time.” “Who is Lissy?” one fan asked.

Turns out, Lissy is Jinger’s nickname for her baby girl. While Jinger has referred to Felicity as “Lissy” in Instagram comments, she’s yet to put the nickname in captions—and fans were taken aback.
“Lissy? Why not call her by her name Felicity???” one fan asked. Another fan blasted the nickname, asking, “Why give her such a beautiful name and then call her something else?”
Despite the negative backlash, there were still plenty of fans who came to Jinger’s defense. “Get a life, it’s a cute nickname and it’s Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo’s daughter so they could call her Pocahontas if they wanted too... mind yalls business.”
