Are they ready for you, Tasia!? The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be getting another dose of spunk now that singer and actress Fantasia is rumored to possibly be joining the show for it’s upcoming eighth season!
Fantasia had her own run on reality TV with her VH1 show, Fantasia for Real, but grabbing a spot on RHOA will mark her first time starring on a reality show since Fantasia for Real ended in November 2010.
Fantasia first grabbed the spotlight during the third season of American Idol, winning the competition with her sassy southern charm and outstanding vocals. Along with releasing four studio albums since her win, she has starred on Broadway, acted on several TV shows and participated in numerous tours.
Seeing that Tasia is very close friends with RHOA’s Kandi Burruss and already has some reality TV experience, her addition to the show isn’t a stretch. Plus, with how open Tasia has been about her relationship and family drama in the past, she’d likely have several topics to pull from for her storyline.

And her recent return to the studio to begin work on her new album would also make for an interesting addition to the show. But with her busy touring and performance schedule and the fact that she hasn’t been on reality TV show in five years, some fans are doubtful Tasia is really being considered for RHOA.
Sources revealed to RadarOnline.com that filming for RHOA’s Season 8 with kick off in July. And according to reports, producers will be testing several housewives in order to figure out the show’s new lineup.
As of now, Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams are the only ladies reportedly set to return for Season 8. But the official announcement from Bravo about the new season’s cast isn’t expected to come for another couple of months! I guess we will have to wait and see if Tasia actually makes the cut!
