‘Flava In Ya Ear’ Rapper Craig Mack Dies At The Age Of 46

Rapper Craig Mack, who rose to fame in the mid-90’s with his hit “Flava In Ya Ear”, has died at the age of 46. Click through for all the details.

He suffered from heart failure on Monday night and passed shortly after at a hospital near his South Carolina home.
Producer Tony Alvin confirmed his passing, saying "He was prepared for whatever comes, to go home to the Lord. He was prepared to do that. He wasn’t scared. He was ready."

Craig was a prominent figure in the hip-hop industry back in the early 90’s, as he was part of Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment label that launched his career as well as many others including Notorious B.I.G And Lil’ Kim.
He’s mostly known for his song “Flava In Ya Ear” which hit number one on the Billboard rap charts and number nine on the Hot 100. It earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1995 as well, losing out to Queen Latifah’s “U.N.I.T.Y.”
Several fellow artists have shared their condolences on the late rapper, including R.A The Rugged Man, who said “Rest in Peace CRAIG MACK. Long Island's own. We were proud of Craig when he came out with the little indie song as MC EZ & TROUP. Then a fewyears later he went on to make one of the biggest most iconic songs in Hip Hop history. Rest EZ. Never forgotten. We love ya bro.”
