Did Fran Drescher just reveal that her legendary classic sitcom The Nanny is back? She spoke with OK! exclusively about it on Monday night, where the hilarious actress teased that something “exciting” is going on in relation to it.
Fran was in attendance at Broadway Sings for Pride’s 8th Annual Charity Concert “Revolution" at The Cutting Room in New York City on Monday.
The star-studded event, which also included Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley and Frankie Grande, benefited The Tyler Clementi Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to ending online and offline bullying.
“I’m excited to be here. I love supporting Broadway Sings,” Fran told OK! on the red carpet Monday while plugging an upcoming event of hers. “I’m all about Pride Week, happy to always be here and kick it off in anticipation of my Cancer Schmancer Cabaret Dinner Cruise on Monday, June 25th.”

When asked if The Nanny was going to have a television revival similar to other 90’s sitcoms like Will & Grace and Murphy Brown, Fran did mention that something surrounding it is in the works!
"Well, we’re not going to have that in motion just yet,” she revealed. "We have something else, equally as exciting, that I can’t exactly announce yet. But it’s going to be exciting.” So will we find out what’s happened with Fran and Mr. Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy) almost twenty years after the show went off the air?
