The first movie told the story of a young girl (played by Lindsay) who instead of trying to use magic to bring her mother back from the dead, she accidentally brings a doll to life. Tyra will return as Eve, the "living doll" and Francia will play a new character named Grace Manning, a toy company executive who manufactured the Eve doll. Lindsay and Tyra will unfortunately not reunite in the second movie.
The synopsis of the movie is that Grace is a hot mess who is experiencing a quarter-life crisis and realizing she might just be in over her head as the new CEO of the toy company. Her crazy ways are causing the company's stock to decrease into the abyss. So who better to fix up her life than a "life sized" doll named Eve?

Tyra is executive producing the X-Mas flick and will lend her vocal cords to recording a modern remix of the first movie’s theme song “Be a Star,” which she said will sound “a lot more current” than the bubblegum pop stylings of the original.
In an exclusive interview with EW, Tyra explained “I am going to dust off my retired vocal chords for Life-Size 2,” Banks explained. “I’d love to find a top producer that everybody knows, like a household name, to do the music. And a beautiful sound technician to auto-tune the hell out of my voice… Those words “be a star” will be in there some way, but it’ll sound totally new… We’re going for club banger as opposed to nursery school rhyme this time!”
