Ashlee Simpson got real with her mother Tina Simpson in a venting session to discuss how hard it’s been for her to balance life as a mom, wife, singer, and business owner. Tina herself managed both Ashlee and her equally famous sister Jessica Simpson so she had some top-notch advice.
An exhausted Ashlee told cameras on ASHLEE + EVAN, “I can’t be in two places at once. Sometimes I’m mommy–ing more and sometimes I’m working more, and I want to give myself 100% to everything.” The clothing line mogul also admits shes, "more frazzled than focused."
She continued to say, "Music is a career by itself, having a clothing line is a career by itself, having a shoe line is a career by itself, being a mom is a career by itself. It's definitely overwhelming."
Tina offered her daughter advice that, "I think if you're doing what you love and your passion shows through, that's all that matters.”

Her mom also told her, "The key to it is that you find what works for you and your family and then you'll find that success,” and reminded Ashlee that her whole family joined her on tour during her “Pieces of Me” hiatus so they could all be together.
Tina lastly reminded her daughter, "being a working mom is always a juggling act no matter what."
