Three icons from the fields of music, sports and movies have officially been chosen to host the 2019 Met Gala: Lady Gaga, Harry Styles and Serena Williams.
The New York Times reported on Tuesday morning on what the theme will be for next year's gala.
This time around, it is “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” a play on Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay “Notes on ‘Camp.'”
It was Susan who launched the term, "referring to a love of exaggeration and a combination of high art and pop culture," into the mainstream.

Gaga, Harry and Serena have been chosen to host the 2019 Met Gala in the process. "We are going through an extreme camp moment, and it felt very relevant to the cultural conversation to look at what is often dismissed as empty frivolity but can be actually a very sophisticated and powerful political tool, especially for marginalized cultures,” Andrew Bolton, who is the curator in charge of the Costume Institute, told the NYT.
2018's theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Rihanna and Amal Clooney were chosen as hosts.
