George Clooney Reveals He Will Quit Acting — Is He Trying To Save His Marriage With Amal?

It has been widely reported that George Clooney and his civil rights lawyer wife, Amal, have been growing apart ever since their marriage and now the actor has made his decision: fame or love.

Earlier this month, a source told OK! that Amal was distancing herself from her husband in order to be taken more seriously as a civil rights attorney.

An insider reported that Amal “can’t stand people thinking of her as just ‘George Clooney’s wife’. So she’s started to distance herself from him…”. It looks as though the distance got to Clooney.

George revealed in an interview to BBC that he plans to quit acting, attributing his decision to reasons of “getting too old.”

“You can’t stay in front of the camera your whole life”, added Clooney about his decision.

In the past the A-list couple struggled with their “long-distance relationship” so George’s decision could give Amal and him much more time together, as well as a chance to keep their relationship away from the Hollywood lens.
