Giuliana Rancic Confesses That She Was ‘Fired’ From 'E! News' Because She Was ‘A Little Too Rough Around The Edges!’
Feb. 16 2016, Updated 5:02 p.m. ET
Before Giuliana Rancic became the face of E! News, she was just a young reporter struggling to make it. After 14 years as the co-host of the entertainment news show, she made an unexpected exit in the summer of 2015 leaving people wondering if she was fired.
Following her departure, Giuliana spoke to The Every Girl about her journey to Hollywood and how her relationship with the network didn’t start off too well.
“My journey through the ranks wasn’t a smooth one at first. I was fired shortly after I was hired because some people at the network thought I was a little too rough around the edges,” she explained.
She added, “But ultimately, it was that irreverence that landed me the lead anchor position. E! decided that I was just what they needed to change the feel of the show and the rest is history.”
