The biggest moment from the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards happened when director and producer Glenn Weiss proposed to his girlfriend after winning his honor. Turns out that his two daughters also found out about this when everyone else did, during the ceremony, and were left "blindsided" by his decision to do so.
Glenn got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen after scoring Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for The Oscars. It was his 14th overall career Emmy.
It melted the hearts of everyone in the audience and on stage including Sterling K. Brown and Leslie Jones.
Sources have told Page Six exclusively that his shocking marriage proposal isn't going so well at home for his 17 and 21-year-old daughters, who found out about it with the millions of other people that were watching that night.

“They were completely shocked and blindsided,” an insider revealed to Page Six. “He could have been a man and gone to them first and said, ‘Hey, I’m planning on doing this. I didn’t want you to be surprised.’ ”
“He’s coming across as this great romantic hero, but it was pretty thoughtless," the insider added. Glenn claimed that he and Jan have been together for "10 years or so" but court records show that his divorce proceedings with his ex-wife began in 2008. Sources have also said that they were surprised that he would want to invite so much scrutiny about his personal life.
