Ellen Pompeo’s had a pretty rough go at it on Friday, as the Grey’s Anatomy star revealed that a thief snatched her purse while she vacationed in Italy.
The television star, who recently revealed that her hit ABC series will be coming to an end soon, detailed what went down overseas on her Instagram Friday.
“My purse was stolen from right under my nose!!” she vented, after thanking local police for their help in Italian. “I blame the rose!! But Grazia to whoever stole it for dropping it on the street exactly intact.”
“I was tracking my phone and chasing you down... had I caught you... it would not have ended well for you...” she continued. “I am nice but let’s not forget my heritage... NAPOLITANO.”

She also added a ton of Italian phrases while finishing the post up with a message to her followers that read “forgive my horrible Italian.”
The trip wasn’t all bad though, as she’s vacationing in Florence with her two daughters Stella and Sienna. So at least there is light at the end of the tunnel for all three of them amid Ellen’s scary robbery.
