Halsey was spotted in Los Angeles with her curls on full display yesterday. It looked like she was not going to let a few internet trolls shame her into hiding behind hair extensions. Keep reading for all the details on her epic clapback.
Over the weekend the “Bad At Love” singer posted a picture of herself showcasing her dark and fluffy curls. Her caption read, “new growth, new growth; all these fades I outgrew ❣️,” which was perhaps a reference to her break-up with ex G-Eazy.
It took no time for trolls to flood her comment section. “That's a wig. Stop it LOL,” one person wrote. While countless others incorrectly accused her of “cultural appropriation.”
Finally the New Jersey native took to Twitter to set the record straight. “I can’t believe I spent a whole d**n year growing out my curls under those wigs for y’all to say my natural hair looks like a wig. Some f***ed up sh** LMAO," she wrote.

She also posted a throwback picture of her toddler self in all her naturally curly glory. Under that snap she wrote, “Stay Mad.”
When she’s not taking the time out to address her haters, Halsey is on stage for her world tour. She performed in Jakarta over the weekend, and opted to display her natural hair once again.
The 23-year-old also made headlines last week when she took time out of her busy tour schedule to hang out with friends and worldwide music sensations BTS during her stop in Seoul. The K-pop group’s upcoming and sold out Love Yourself tour was recently named the “most expensive ticket” of 2018.
