Hayden Panettiere’s family broke their silence regarding her boyfriend Brian Hickerson’s felony domestic violence charges he received on July 10. They are “happy” that justice is being served for what the Nashville actress, 29 has been through.

According to RadarOnline, Hayden’s family is relieved that Brian will have to appear in court because of his actions. “This is the news everyone wanted to hear. Everyone is happy about it," a source told the outlet.

“As far as I am concerned there is history here. There is a pattern here whether it’s only Hayden or not. And it’s not,” the source continued.

“The first concern is Hayden and at end of the day there will be other people if he continues like this,” the insider added. “No doubt other people will be in danger. It’s not fair to society.”

On May 2, Brian, 30, arrested for domestic violence, when he allegedly became violent after a night in Hollywood with his girlfriend. On May 23, a Los Angeles judge issued a protective order against Brian, preventing him from coming within 100 yards of the actress.

Brian appeared before a court on July 10, and a judge ruled that there was enough evidence for him to face felony charges.

The Heroes alum and Brian confirmed their relationship last August.

If Brian gets convicted, he will face up to four years in prison.
