Heidi Montag doesn’t think The Hills has a problem with diversity! The reality star defends the casting by saying some girls have darker hair.
Heidi, 32, was asked by Vogue if she wished The Hills had a more diverse cast. She responded, “We don’t all look the same.”
She continued, “I mean Audrina Patridge has darker hair. I feel like Mischa Barton has darker hair.”
Heidi said the all-white cast was just because, “We’re California girls and it’s a group of friends and that just happens to be the group that came together but that’s just, ya know, the show was.”

“I have other very diverse friends that are not featured on the show,” the mom-of-one defended.
The New Beginnings star has since received backlash on social media for her commentary. On March 10 she posted a photo on Instagram seemingly addressing her interview. “Sometimes you just need to laugh through the hard times,” she wrote.
