Here Comes Honey Boo Bo is no more, but have you caught up on all the drama with Mama June Shannon leading to the cancellation?
It all began when news broke that Mama June, mother of 9-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, was possibly dating a convicted child molester, Mark McDaniel.
McDaniel is Shannon’s ex-boyfriend who served ten years in prison for molesting one of her relatives, identified as an 8-year-old child.
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Mama June’s 14-year-old daughter, told RadarOnline that none of it was true. “They story is not true. My mom left Mark 10 years ago,” she said. “She is all about the kids. She only needs us girls, no one else.”

TLC said it was investigating the claims in a statement on Thursday: “We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.”
Later though, Mama June told fans in a Facebook video that the show was axed. “Just got a phone call this morning from TLC and as of right now there will be no more production of the show — the statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue,” Shannon said. “I would not ever, ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger, I love them too much.”

Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”
