Lance Bass has just learned how much difference a few days make when it comes to real estate. It was just last week when the former boy band member announced to his nearly 1 million fans on social media that he had just purchased the house used as the exterior set of The Brady Bunch. And just in a matter of days, he learned 1) he actually didn’t and 2) HGTV did. Read on for more details!
“Super excited to announce they accepted my offer on the #BradyBunch house last night!!! This is going to be a fun project!” Lance tweeted on August 3.
But as Ok! readers know, he was “heartbroken” to learn he actually didn’t win the bidding, especially after he celebrated the major accomplishment with his friends. He even wrote on Instagram, “I feel used, but most importantly I’m hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome.”
Flash forward to today, when The Hollywood Reporter reported that the entity that swiped Lance’s dream property was the home improvement network HGTV.

Discovery (which owns HGTV) CEO David Zaslav declared the news in the company’s recent second-quarter earnings conference call: "I am excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and will restore the Brady Bunch home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can.”
He added, "More details to come over the next few months, but we will bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories with this beloved piece of American TV history.”
