Hilary Duff gave birth to her daughter, Banks Violet a mere 10 days ago on October 25 and is already ready to share her labor experience with the world. She revealed her daughter's birth story on Dr. Elliot Berlin's Informal Pregnancy podcast and how she dealt with the labor pains. Keep reading to here how it all went down.
The 31-year-old said she went into labor around 12:30 a.m. and called for her doula and midwives at 2 a.m. She expected that her labor would be proceeding much quicker because it was her second child. But it turns out that she was in labor “for a really long time” before it was time to push.
The "Come Clean" singer tried to stay calm but of course, she had a few screams. Her boyfriend, Matthew Koma tried to get her to relax. He told her, "You have to shut up. You’re going to die if you say that again!”
The Younger star continued on with the story in which she divulged that her contractions never really came close together. This “frustrated” her, but after a few more contractions, one of her midwifes checked her cervix and told her it was time to start pushing. She recalled this memory as "a happy moment and also scary.”

Once it was time to push, things went quickly. “It was, like, five pushes,” said the Disney Channel alum. “That part didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it was going to.”
“I was scared it was going to be extreme pain in my vagina and it was not like that,” she explained. “It was very painful in my hips and then it was more scary in just the overall bigness of what was happening than, ‘Ow, this hurts too bad, I can’t do it again.’"
