Though Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson might be a pro in the world of pageants, it appears she is totally out of her depth on Dancing With Stars. She recently revealed that she is having a hard time keeping up with the other contestants. Keep reading for all the info on her onscreen struggle.

The reality show star admitted that though her excitement to join the current season outweighed her nerves, she was ready for a new challenge.

She admitted, “I’ve never even watched the show before, to be honest. I wanted to do it because when they asked me, I thought this is something that I’ve never done and it’d be super fun and a great experience. So I figured, let’s do it!”

However, once practice started, the Mama June: From Hot to Not star began to feel a bit out of her element. “I did hit a breaking point one time,” she revealed.

She continued, “Mackenzie Ziegler is on the show and I was like, ‘I’m never going to be better than her.’ But I kind of got past it because you don’t have to be the best dancer to win. It’s not just about being the best dancer. It’s about having fun, too.”

The 13-year-old insisted that ultimately she would pull through due to a support system that included dance partner Tristan Ianiero, mentor Artem Chigvintsev, and of course Mama June and her sisters.

“Everyone around me was so supportive. Some days I would get super nervous and frustrated, but Artem and Tristan were supportive and told me I was going to be great,” she said.
