Planning for the big day or just researching for fun? We pulled some hot wedding trends from the stars themselves!
Off the Shoulder
Emmy Rossum stunned on her wedding day wearing an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera when she married longtime beau Sam Esmail. So chic, the gown featured embroidered details, which went perfectly with the star’s vintage Chaumet round-cut diamond engagement ring from the 1920s.
Lots of Color
Follow in the wedding footsteps of “Orange Is the New Black” romance Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli, and get married in a sea of color. The two wed in Palm Springs in a confetti-themed affair where guests frolicked around Technicolor paper.
Mountainside
Erin Andrews and NHL star Jarret Stoll tied the knot at an outdoor ceremony in Big Sky, Montana. We love the mountainside setting of her fairytale affair, and we know many of you will to.
The Lace Dress
Pippa Middleton married financier James Matthews while wearing a custom gown by British designer Giles Deacon. The royal sister didn’t disappoint with the high neckline and cap sleeves on the dress. The on-trend lace number also featured a corseted bodice and heart-shaped detail on the back.

Going Casual
We loved it when fashionista Olivia Palermo did the unthinkable and married her boyfriend of six years Johannes Huebl in an unexpected casual look by Carolina Herrera, including a cashmere sweater! We know many brides followed suit and went casual for their big days too.
An All-White Bridal Party
When mom Tina Knowles tied the knot with Richard Lawson, the entire bridal party donned white. While some brides want to stand out on their special day and not let anyone else wear the color white, others are opting for a matching bridal party.
Giant Flower Altars
Emmy Rossum didn’t shy away from a blown-out flower altar for her wedding ceremony. A big trend this wedding season, we’re seeing many other brides do the same.
Wedding Tats
From Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine to Dax Shephard and Kristen Bell, many stars are sealing the (marriage) deal with ink. Prinsloo has a tat of three ascending dots on her ring finger, which she told CBS means “being one with the earth.”
