PHOTOS‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ Is Getting A TV Show Reboot!

Guy Branum is taking on the task of writing a How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days reboot! The 2003 film starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey is getting a millennial twist on the original.
Quibi, a mobile-based streaming platform launching in April 2020, will be the home of the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days television reboot.
“Written by Guy Branum, the series version of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days follows a glib young online writer and an oversexed advertising executive, both looking to prove they're capable of being in a monogamous relationship. But they soon discover that staying in a relationship is harder than it looks,” the show’s synopsis reads, according to a press release.
Guy, 43, took to Twitter on August 1 and said, “We were all certain you could not make a good romantic comedy anymore because print media is dead and RomCom ladies have to work at magazines, but against the tides of history, Quibi & Paramount have agreed to let me re-write How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days."

“I will be observing and consulting numerous photos of shirtless Matthew McConaughey to properly research this task,” he joked. Neither Kate, 40, or Matthew, 49, has publicly commented on the reboot.
Guy is known for writing on shows like The Mindy Project, Awkward, Punk’d, and more.
Although the streaming platform Quibi has yet to launch, they’ve secured series starring Chrissy Teigen, Steven Spielberg, Steph Curry, Tyra Banks, Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Lena Waithe and many other big names in Hollywood.
